Important: Don’t be Fooled
There are several websites offering cheap non-accredited RSA course WA which will issue you a “Statement of Completion”. However, a “Statement of Completion” is not the same as a “Statement of Attainment”.
You must have a nationally accredited SITHFAB021 – Provide responsible service of alcohol (or equivalent) Statement of Attainment from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in order to be able to work.
RSA Course Overview
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) training is mandatory for anyone selling, serving or supplying alcohol in a licensed venue in Western Australia.
You will learn strategies, inclusive of harm minimisation and refusal of service in our interactive face to face delivery classrooms.
Examples of jobs that may require an RSA certificate are:
- Wait staff
- Bar tenders
- Managers of licensed venues
- Security at a licensed venue
- Crowd controllers
- Checkout workers at alcohol retailers
Option 1: Online Course
Are you happy learning at your own pace, in an online environment? This option is best for those who enjoy online learning.
Option 2: Perth Classroom
Are you already familiar with the hospitality industry? Do you want a faster paced class? Then this option is best for you.
Entry
While there are no prerequisites for this course, your language, literacy and numeracy skills will be assessed to enable us to gauge any additional support requirements. Due to legislation, we cannot take enrolments for people under 18 years of age.
Students must be able to demonstrate a level of English language, literacy and numeracy skills to be able to read and interpret legislation and regulations, hold discussions with all stakeholder groups and gather and provide information in both written and oral forms.
Students must also be residents in Western Australia – and will be required to provide proof of residency. Individuals who are on visas will be required to provide visa information, so that course eligibility can be verified.
Update: Overseas students are now able to complete this course with us due to recent changes to the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act).

Upon successful completion of this course you will be issued with a physical Statement of Attainment (nationally recognised certificate).
Your Statement of Attainment is valid to work in QLD, WA, SA, NT, ACT & TAS.

Course Details
Option 1: Online
Delivery Mode
This course completed online with a short practical assessment conducted either Virtually (from any location) or via Video upload.
Resources
You will need access to the internet and a device (computer, phone or tablet) to complete the online portion of the course.
Streamline will provide all Learning Materials and Assessments.
Duration
Online Learning & Assessment (~5 hours) – Can be completed at your own pace 100% online.
Practical Assessment (~10 to 20 mins) – Can be completed by Video Call OR Audio/Video upload OR in person at our Perth CBD Classroom.
Maximum timeframe for completion is 3 months from enrolment date.

- Knowledge activities
- Practical demonstration
- Oral questioning
- Direct observation
- Role play
*Timeframes for assessment completion depend on individual progress.
Option 2: Classroom
Delivery Mode
This is a face-to-face course completed in our Perth classroom (see locations below when enrolling).

Breaks are provided to enable students to enjoy food and beverages from the surrounding hospitality venues. Due to work health and safety, hot drinks are not provided by Streamline Training.
